Felix started asking to have his face painted after he got here. So today he got his wish...
Isha this one is for you and Zber. LOL our 2 Batman fans. ha ha ha... He has been so funny this time. It is so nice to have him here with us again. It would be long and Nana is going to be the shortest person again... They are all getting so big!

For those that read my Blog

I would like to ask a favor of those that read this blog. If you could let me know your "opinion" I'd be very grateful. I am a crafter for therapy. It keeps me half way sane... ;-) Do you think crafting should be a way to make money first? Or is it just a happy byproduct of others liking your work?

I've tried to make a doll business back in 98 and that was a real flop.  I sold maybe 6 dolls in a year.  And I started to hate making dolls. I gave most of them away in the end. Four were special ordered by a lady, her Grandmother made pillow cases, her mother embroidered them and she crocheted the edges. (3 generations working on them) She had me make them into old fashioned dolls for her Great Granddaughters. Sixth generation down from the woman who originally made the cases. I thought it was so interesting and made for great keepsakes.

Anyway, back to your opinions... I am really into the paper dolls, corsets and cards. I have seen that others make them to sell. I was quite surprised at the cost too. But thought it might be nice to be able to sell some to keep me supplied in papers and tools so I can keep crafting. Plus I don't know what to do with all the things I finish.

What is your honest opinion, is it something you think I could shoot for or should I keep it therapy only? I want to know what you think of the quality of my work.
Please leave your comments for me below, Any and All are greatly appreciated.
Have a great weekend.

Made Felix's Day

We made use of leftovers... ;-)  Best way I know to use up leftover mashed potatoes is to make Chocolate Coconut Balls, Look yum huh...
The little ones are Ritz Bits peanut butter crackers dipped in chocolate.  Want the recipe, I'll gladly share if you want.
Hope you are all having a good time.  We are trying. ha ha ha.

Who Knew??

These little paper dresses are addictive! I finished this one last night. Paper Machi corset then covered with bits of colored tissue paper. Sequins and  2 paper rolled roses. Laced up the back. My Niece said if I wanted to sew one she would love to wear it. ;-) It would look good on her too!!!!

I am starting another one too. My youngest niece and granddaughter are going to love making these.
I'm also going to make some hangers, so more coming soon. I hope.. Will be gone a few days as we get to have our Little Man come visit. Yeah /\/\/\/\/\ Happy Dance /\/\/\/\/\ Hope I stay on an up for the next week or so. Take one day at a time.
Have a good day, week... Life.  Make it the best you can ;-)

Fighting the blues with Paper

I have been trying to make myself do things to work through some of this. And this is what I came up with after watching some YouTube videos and going to a few blogs. I love Kellie's corsets. WOW!
Then I found Scrappin Happy by - Jeanette and watched her dress making. More WOW! Here is the info for their YouTube channels.

And here is what I came up with. It isn't quite what I was going for, but it makes me smile! I love it! The roses and pink flowers on the dress are paper too. The tulle, bow and lace are the only things I used other than paper. Oh and little bling Rhinestones... they are nail are. lol Love it more on paper than nails. There is 3 layers to the back of the dress and then the bustle and bow. I can't decide if I need to make a way to hang this or make a stand for it. Kellie also has tutorial for hangers... I am going to make a tutu next.

Need to learn to take better pictures. I have 3 daughters now and they all are good to great photographers. I need to take some lessons.
Have a good weekend!
