A feast for your eyes... These are a couple of roses mom has, the pig pink bush has been here longer than we have and we have been here for 40 years. There is a light almost white one behind this one. But the pink one is so pretty and very fragrant. The big bloom rose is on the back side of the house and so lovely to look at. Finely got the grass down so we can enjoy the roses. LOL The grass was over 4 foot tall in most places. All 3 mowers were down at the same time... Get one going and then just as we get another one the first quits... Ahhhggg.... Oh well... Enjoy the pictures. XO Nana
Oh April thank you so much, the pink bush looks gorgeous and so many roses on there. I bet it is a delight to stand close to that and sniff to your heart's delight. It looks like one of the old fashioned Damask type roses. The hybrid tea rose also looks beautiful, is that one scented? Lovely glossy leaves too! I like picking perfect rose leaves coating one side of the leaf in melted chocolate, when the chocolate is set peel off the leaf and then use the chocolate 'leaves' on ice cream or other desserts! Looks quite impressive :)
ReplyDeleteOh you poor things battling with long grass! We are having to mow our grass regularly and it is growing so lushly, gives us quite a work out walking up and down with a mower lol.
Thank you for the beautiful photos

lOL I told mom I wish we could take smell pictures. I'd share it with you all. LOL
DeleteThat is amazing! I bet it smells wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't do well with roses but this one at least doesn't make me have a headache and nose run. LOL It has a wonderful soft fragrance that whiffs thorough the air when the wind blows a bit.
