A Get Well Card

I was able to actually make a whole card this month. WOO HOO well 2 really. HA
This one is made with a digi from Gerda Steiner, she has some of the cutest little things. And if you buy the digi of the month and then get a card made and show her, she will send you the next moths digi for free. So if you keep making cards you earn more digis. If you are like me though I love her digis and end up making something late or not posting then I don't get the next digi. lol such is life... a day late and a dollar short.

Anyway- on to the card. Whenever mom doesn't feel good she wants oatmeal. So tried to make it look like oatmeal in the bowl. The spoon is partially 3D (the handle is glued to the original and the bowl of the spoon is 3D with an 1/8 inch dot) and the Bowl of oats is on thicker foam pads. Hope you like it. I mimicked mom's bowl too it is blue glass. I put paper glaze over the bowl.  She thought it was cute.

Day 2 of 30 Day Challenge

Well I didn't get any coloring done, but I did un-mount some of my red rubber stamps. I cut up a bunch of glossy photo paper and stamped it with the stamp and then put it in a trading card holder. Not bad..
Love the idea of seeing what I have in a quick glance than rummaging through the boxes of stamps.
I'll get organized yet... Pictures will be posted as soon as I can get them uploaded.

Updated:

This was 2 small box of stamps they all fit in a 11/2" binder. I am using trading card holders. I'll get some picture ones later for the bigger stamps I have.  My niece is going to help me when I am done to organize  all the thank you's and thinking of you, wedding, baby...etc... I think it is going to be real nice when it is all done. I have so many more๐Ÿ˜ตlol

Oldest Grandson graduates

Well it has been 3 months with no post... I have missed it.  I also have been missing my crafting time.
Yesterday I was able to make a card for our oldest grandson as he graduated 8th grade. I know that isn't what they call it now, but same in the end. lol  He got a lovely award for mathematics. I asked our Daughter (il) what he would like as a gift and she said "He is into a lot of drawing and sketching." So I found a good deal on some pencils, charcoal, pads etc... He was very pleased. I wanted to make a special card for him, he is such a sweet young man. I found a digi at The Paper Shelter I thought would be good. It is the Cockatoo Rules! Isn't he cute! I will post a picture of my card and Grandson below. You will see I gave him a green Mohawk, when you see my grandson you will understand why! ha ha ha... And what boy doesn't like motor bikes...

On this picture you can see I used gel pens over pencil and it shined. I'm not real good yet but the tank has a flame job in the top picture.
And here's our boy! So proud of him, top student and also when to state in robotics. When he saw the card his Mom said "Oh look A, he has a green Mohawk too!"
His Mama & Papa were both so proud. Mama tried to kiss him and papa put his hand up, then she tried again and he slid over to his dad's side and his dad kissed him. Oh man you should have seen the face and heard the sounds. rofl His dad  said "Kind'a weird you out?" He was laughing so hard. He has really sprouted this year too. Mama is 5'11 and dad is 6'. I love my kidos!

It was sweet memories in the making here, for sure. My youngest sister to a lot of photos with a really nice camera. I hope I get to see them. These were taken with my phone. Hope you enjoyed seeing our family fun.

It is hard to say Goodbye

For my family...  be it Blood or Spiritual, I am going to stop blogging for now. As it just takes up too much of my time and energies. I am also unsubscribed to almost everything.

I need to get away from the computers and take care of things in my real life. It is always hard to change what we do, but it has to start somewhere and I feel this is best for me right now.

I have learned so much from a lot of different people online, which I greatly appreciate very much.
TLC, The Ton, Altnew, The Paper shelter, Besties, Snoopy's, FPTFY, Splitcoast Stampers, Vera, ADFD, Sami Stamps, Birds, Miss Kate Cuttables, So so many blogs I have followed and learned from. Too many for me to list. Buggabo, TiddlyInks... And this used to be all cake blogs when I was baking, traded paper for the sugar. But it all has to be put into place!

I will still craft but it is going to be after other things are accomplished, or I should say in between things. As I know with my health I will have good days and bad. I just don't want to waste anymore of my good days doing nothing. I need to get more active and I can't do that looking at a computer screen all the time. It has gotten to the point that if we go on vacation I have to have my laptop or Ipad. Not good for communication with the hubby or anyone...

So I will probably check in once or twice a week for now. Instead of off and on all day. I will get weaned from this I am determined!

Love you all so very much and hopefully we can get together soon, Service? or maybe have a meal or watch a show.. but at least spend time together, without my nose in a computer.

Goodbye: A Day For Daisies

This is for the last challenge for A Day For Daisies. This is from Tammy's blog:

A Celebration of Favorites - Challenge #160

So glad you are joining in the final ADFD Blog Challenge to celebrate the thousands of images Tammy has created over the past six and a half years.  The first challenge was back in September of 2010, when the ADFD blog began.  Tammy has sponsored so many challenges on card-making blogs and continues to generously share her images with design team members and as prizes for their challenges.  She is a special talent with an incredibly big heart.
People far and near love Tammy's images, so for this challenge, we invite you to share something you have created with your Favorite ADFD image.   This is just way to share your appreciation for the creative genius behind the images!

So I managed to make a card, this happens to be the first image I fell in love with. So thought it would be appropriate to use. Hope you like it too.
Please look at her blog and join in viewing all the lovely post from the Design Team past and present. Thank you Tammy for all the love and talents you have shared.

New idea tried

I saw a post the other day of someone who did a gorgeous card on black paper. Well poo I thought I saved it but I can't find it... Anyway if the blogger that I saw reads this and lets me know I will give proper credit where due. She had black card and blew white ink on it then stamped. Very pretty card. Now the card I made isn't even close, but I kind of like it.
Ta for now...

Got a little accomplished and a review..

Only being able to use one hand is killing my craft time. But I was able to get a few cards finished, thanks to my new Hampton Arts Stamp Perfect tool. I love it. I am also in love with a few stamp suppliers... but am not able to afford them. Again I want to Thank Hampton Arts for being there with some very nice sets.

Altenew has the most gorgeous layered stamp sets and some with dies, Love the coffee set ☕☕ and some of the floral are just so pretty!

The Ton- OMG.. their Poppies are so Gorgeous! and they have so many beautiful Stamp sets to chose from. Like the Macarons, they are so cute and pretty done up.

Check out these blogs, they have challenges and prizes too. I have to say I was in love with the MISTI, but knew I couldn't afford it no matter what reviews were. But I have to say I love Hampton Arts. They have some beautiful layered stamp sets and ink sets that are affordable to crafters on a budget. I got the Stamp Perfect and the stamp sets Flower Amaze, Roses and the 4 pack of inks in pinks. for less than the least expensive MISTI.

I'm posting this as my own opinion... It is like the nose ๐Ÿ‘ƒ on my face, my own... everyone has
one. lol  I am not getting any compensation for my comments. I just wanted to share. I love the top end of stamping and crafting. But when you can't afford it --- you find something almost as nice if not nicer and go with it.

Now if you have your own opinion and would like to share with us please leave a comment and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Here are a couple of the cards I made.

On the bottom one I didn't have the stamp stuck to the Stamp Perfect and it fell on my paper. I was just finishing this card when that happened so I splotched ink all over and I kind of like it. lol So even mistakes can turn out pretty.
Have a great rest of your week!

Day late and a dollar short...

I know old saying but it fits... I was able to join in viewing the Ton's Blogversary.  And I was, as my youngest sister would say when she was little - a fortunate cookie. I was going to take pictures and forgot... (slap hand to forehead) The beautiful Vera Yates Here drew my name for a wonderful surprise!! Oh my! And she lovingly added a beautiful hand made and signed card. I will try to get pictures up soon.

I am still one handed as I tore the ligaments from my thumb when I fell 4 months ago. Got the cast off but am in a very tight brace and am not to use my left hand especially my thumb, not to move it at all for another 4 weeks.  I want to craft so bad... With all the lovely goodies Vera sent and all the new things I'm learning form all the wonderful people doing the blog hops... Goodness I had no idea how many ways I could learn to use ink and papers☺

Hope you all have a wonderful rest of the week! xx
