informalup to here with
"are you tired of having him here?"

I've been so down haven't even wanted to craft. Dr said it should pass soon.. I hope so! I did have a little play yesterday, I sat in the recliner and colored some beautiful new Besties  otherwise known as the Big Eyed Girls, by Sherri Baldy. Took all day to color 6 little girls. Done with colored pencil and blended with OMS. (Odder-less Mineral Spirits)
I thought the first one would be sweet for a baby card.

And the second would be good for any occasion that calls for dressing warm.  I heard friends across the state shoveled 25 inches of snow out of their driveways... YUK! that is the only thing I don't miss from there.

I know some people don't care for fantasy pictures but I thought Sherri did such a cute job on this little Mermaid, I had fun adding color to her. Oh and sparkles and pearls.
The last one is a brand new release I had to have her for someone special. It made me think of her immediately. And I owe her a card too. Sorry the pictures didn't turn out real well.

Hope you've enjoyed your stop by... Thanks for looking and see you all soon I hope.

Not all Goodbye's are sad...

We had a lovely time today my nice and I. We were invited to a fifties sock hop as a goodbye party for Bob & Jules. I just found out they are moving to Ecuador where the need is great. They are both regular Pioneers and they will be missed. But how exciting to be able to expand your ministry and do so much in Jehovah's service. I found the perfect card pattern and I will link to her site below.
We look forward to news from Ecuador after the move next month. So exciting for them to be retired and have the ability to do something some of us can only dream of due to health and other things. I wish I had a third of Jules energy and spunk. She is such a cutie. So full of love and friendship. Wish I could have gotten to know her sooner. lol Bob I have known for many years and he has a real treasure in his wife. Her name fits her perfectly- she is a Jewel! (I know it isn't spelled the same, but it is said the same, and she really is a Jewel!)

This double bow is so pretty. I can't wait to make it some more.  Sandra's Scrapshop   I think it is going to make some gorgeous Anniversary cards. The only thing is I have to make a box to put it in. I forgot to take a picture of that. But it does make a lovely gift.
Thank you Sandra for letting me make this beautiful card.

Just a Note or a soap...

Hi All!
Thanks for stopping by, just a quick note to let those that know my family that mom took a bad fall Wednesday.
After coming home and unloading the car from our shopping, it was on the floor she caught her foot in a shopping bag and planted her face to the floor. With her hands full. She had 2 coffee cups and a spoon. 1 cup shattered and the spoon ended up in an odd place , but it didn't do any damage. It was under her chin and between the girls ;-)
Anyway I said to her to be still I'm calling for help. She said No just let me be a minute, hubby covered her with a blanket and I called 911. She was in shock. Said her arm hurt. I looked her over a bit and put a towel under her head which had a big goose egg on it. She now is sporting 2 black eyes and black and blue forehead and her nose is swollen. Her glasses cut the bridge of her nose too. She was released from the hospital last night and she is up at Elma's being very well taken care of by her and her hubby.
I've never seen her in such pain... and I've seen her go through a lot! Em is so good with mama, I'm so glad she was able to take her home with her. I know mom misses her dogs and they miss her. But she doesn't need them jumping on her.
Anyway her arm is broken about 2 inches down her arm from her shoulder. They inserted a catheter to administer her medicines into her arm on a slow drip to help with the pain. I miss her so much and she looked so bad.. Just makes me want to cry. I'm trying to rearrange things here so she can have a bed downstairs as she isn't able to go up and down right now. She really buggered her knee too. If you want to call her I'm sure she would love to hear from you. She has her cell phone with her and she or Em will answer it I'm sure.
Love to all and I will be back as soon as I can.

PS we lost #6 chick to the Hawk. I love all things but am so stinking tired of this guy and I can't do anything about him as he is Federally protected. So we scream and wave our arms at him. He looks at us like Oh get a grip You can't hurt me... and he knows to stay just far enough away from you. lol Smart little pook. I've never seen one run on the ground after the chickens, it is usually a swoop and fly. This guy is un-experienced. I guess as he will run the ground and chase them trying to catch one. He caught one of the hens and couldn't get over 3 feet off the ground so he dropped her. She is ok, a bit beat up but still laying eggs everyday. Oh boy.... life...
Night everyone!

The Paper Shelter Challenge #214 - Lace and/or ribbon

Don't faint... I made 2 cards woot woot!! and it only took me 5 days. (roll eyes) I made this card for The Paper Shelter challenge. I used a pre made blue square card blank. Picked out the digi I wanted to play with and the sentiment is from Paulette over at Create with TLC.
They go together pretty well in my mind.
Hand colored and used OMS to blend the colors, used gold confetti stars, 3 roses and ribbon and lace from my stash. To get the lace all the way around I pleated the corner and hot glued it to the corner and went to the next corner, until I got all the way around. Hope you like it as much as I did making it.

A few flowers from around here

Thought I'd brighten your day and share some pictures of flowers I have taken. I'm not a good photographer, but I like some of them. First is a field of poppies, I just couldn't get close enough.
  White Peony
 White and Pink Peony
 Red Peony
Pink Roses
Not sure what kind of rose these are, mom said it isn't what was planted so must have froze to the original root stock.
Columbine
 Bleeding Heart
 Another Columbine
 Primrose
Another rose that died back to root stock. I like them.
 White and purple Iris

Not sure of the tree some kind of weeping I think, with all the lovely forget-me-not.
And the Rooster is Hopper I met him the other day and he is stunning.
When his little girl gets home from school, he meets her at the bus stop and walks her home.
Well that's all from me today. Hope you like the flowers, I have more I need to take of rich burgundy iris and pure white iris. And the moss rose and other roses are starting to flourish. I'll try and remember to get some of them too. Have a great weekend!

Monthly Challenge over at Gerda Stiners

I first saw her new digi, Stinking Cute on Instagram. I fell in love immediately. And low and behold it turned up being the freebie for the challenge. YEAH!!!! Then I ruined 2 printouts and quit for a while. I don't know what is wrong with my paper or ink or??? Probably just me ha ha ha.  I don't give up easy, so I gave it one more try and this is what I made.
It is a Thank you card, inside says "Aww, you scent me flowers. How sweet of you,."
I hope you like it, feel free to leave me a comment on what you think, good or bad. The best way a person can learn is from others. Thanks and have a wonderful Tuesday tomorrow.

A Day for Daisies

Challenge over at ADFD  Oh boy where to begin.. I took some ME time today and I made 2 cards. Woo Hoo.. lol  Anyway, I did a Day for Daisies first and then I will post the second on it's own.
The Challenge is Fairy Princess Love (color board) I forgot and should have used more pinks. I hope this works for their challenge I love her digis and had a very enjoyable time making this card.

You can't tell by the picture but it is 3D. The head and arms. This is the digi I did a few days ago and the face bled all over :-(  I had to quit after ruining 3 digis. So I reprinted her and  finished her off. I like it. A bit plane and simple, but I do like it.. Anyone want to leave me feedback on how to do better, Please I'd love to hear from you.
Thanks for stopping by..

I have been wanting to do so much craft wise and have not really had any time, but I managed to squeeze in this card for our neighbor. It says "Just an old fashioned Thank you, to an old fashioned Neighbor. Friends are the family we choose,"
F & G are such loving people. They use to help mom when ever the ambulance was called for dad, now with me having health issues he mowed the front yard for me after doing his big yard.

Isn't she just too cute?  You can find her at The Paper Shelter
They have lots of adorable digis.
Go check them out, you'll be glad you did.
PS forgot to add I'm intering this in there challenge.  Challenge 202 - Lace

Today's post brought to you by Pssst n Moan...Warning gripe-fest

Hello, today's post is brought to you by Pssst n Moan.
I'm getting fed up with Dr's telling me, I'm fine my hearts good, and putting me on 6 new medications. (some for my heart) All I want to do is sleep!😴 I have so many things I could be doing. Yard work, kitchen, Crafts... To name a few. I'm up for a few minutes and just feel wipped out, so back to bed. Feel like my body is week and heavy. I got part of the yard mowed a couple of days ago, then spent that night and next day and night sleeping.

I called the Pharmacy and was told 3 of the new meds can be causing this problem. Call your Doctor.
OK, called doctor and waited to be called back. After noon I called them again. Was told we'll call you as soon as we can. Later was called and asked "Doctor wants to know, is it your depression or do you think you are getting sick?"
(Insert scream here)😕(not really just feel like it sometimes) I said no and no! I called the Pharmacy and they said to call Dr! Then describe what is going on again.
Oh...okay I'll call you back after I check with him again.😣
Later.... He wants to see you, let's make you an appointment. How about Friday.
Good thing my mom is so positive, I'm about to loose my temper and she calms me right down. LoL But she can get her comments across when needed. He he he..😅 She sings "You've got to accentuate the positive.." To me at times, I told her I'm positive I'm ticked off. But then I can let it go a bit. lol
I came to live with mom to help her out and keep her company, not for her to take care of me! I know what you'll say mom... We keep care of each other. But lately I feel more of a burden to you and hubby than any help. Well as I type this I am flat on my back in bed, wishing the kitchen was clean and dishes done, yard finished and and and... If wishes we're fishes we'd have a fry!
Hopefully tomorrow we will get some answers. Night all...

Vent Vent Vent!!! Sorry things are slow...

As I write this I am wishing I were elsewhere. This isn't a pity party, it is a blowing of steam, Vent..

No energy to craft or do much of anything. Spent Monday the 6th going to Chiro, then went to my Dr, he sent me to the hospital by ambulance, sent home Monday evening, not a heart attack. (Great!) Tuesday (7th) go to town with mom and end up back in hospital. After all said and done sent home Wednesday, no heart attack, lots of bruises.. Had lots of test and a Angiogram. Nice to know it's not my heart, but what the ???? is it?

Still in pain off and on, off if I don't do anything on if I do... Have a Dr appointment tomorrow. I'm hoping they can get to the bottom of this fast. Not good when you scare your Dr.  But he scared me when I saw his face as the EMT's were working with me. We can LOL about it now.

Boy have I-itis don't I. Ha! Need to get better as there is so much to get done, Yard needs mowing, chickens need care (have 8 new Araucana babies) The Bantam sisters hatched them. See pictures below. Look at the tails in the first picture, these ladies were upset with me as the eggs were hatching.
Everyone up and eating, then all snuggled and ready for bed.
 I love chickens!!!
Need to be outside and taking care of them and right now I can't......... :-(
Have plants and bulbs that need to be planted and weeds that need pulled. I don't have time to be sick.

But I guess sometimes you don't get a choice do you. Mom says this too shall pass. I love how positive and up-building she is, when you can tell she is scared a bit too.  I am so glad I have a loving relationship with her and my hubby. He was pretty scared too. Stayed in hospital until late. Told him to go home and get some sleep I wasn't going anywhere. Our 2 youngest boys had to come and see me too. It was so sweet of them to take the time and make the trip. Mo had to return home, but staid an extra day just to give me hugs. Love that boy.. LOL (30years old) Parker stayed until Friday, he got up and fixed his dad's lunch and breakfast so I could sleep. Oldest son checked in by phone as he has his family and work. But had to make sure all things were going okay.

The congregation has been a loving support too. It was so good to see everyone Sunday, but couldn't wait to get home and in bed. (rolling eyes) We even had visitors in the afternoon but I missed them as I was sleeping the pain away.

Hopefully I can get something done soon to post on a positive note soon.
Thanks for letting me vent.

Spring has Sprung...

Well the Osprey are back and nesting on the bridge, the Turkeys are out in full feathered beauty. And our Japanese Bantams have just hatched 2 of nine eggs last night. I went out to lock up the chickens and take a head count and pick up the last of the day's laying. I have to check under the 3 Bantams as the big hens will push them off the nest to lay their eggs, (rolling eyes) I reached under and to my surprise I got peeps calling out from under them. Here is the first picture.
This morning when I went to let them out and check the 3 hens they were content (see below)
Then when I went to check to see if any more had hatched I got this response... Look at those tail feathers all spread out. They were not happy with me at all. I just felt under and there were still 6 eggs so I left them alone. Will check them later.
Now I had to run into Junction City, with mom and when I cam home I had to stop on the bridge as it looks like someone might have hit it again. (road workers fixing it) I took the opportunity to take pictures of the wild turkey's. I never have my camera ready when they are out. But this time as I had to wait for traffic, I got 2 pictures. I find them both ugly and beautiful. LOL

Look at those tail feathers... I find them so amazing. Well off to see the Chiropractor real soon. Hope my back is out and not something else going on. Have a good week everyone!!

Just a little quick post to show you a smile

This is my oldest sisters daughter, Lorna. She has been asking to learn to crochet. So I sat with her for a bit and she picked it up so stinking fast. She even picked up on her mistakes before getting to far along. So I showed her how to remove stitches to the problem and go back. This is her first potholder for her mama. First time to try and finished her first project in one afternoon. Now she is working on a scarf, double stranded... All on her own. Isn't that smile saying a lot. ;-)
Have a good Monday!
