Rag Quilt from Recycled clothes

Need a good use of worn out jeans? Try your hand at a rag quilt. I used the legs off some old jeans, cut to 7 inch square. Backside is 7 inch squares of flannel cut from 4 old pillow cases and a flannel nightgown.
Place the squares back to back or wrong sides together. Sew with 1/2 in seams. Just make sure all seams go to the same side. When it is the size you want, the fun begins. Cut the seam allowance at 1/4 to 1/2 in intervals so it will fray and be soft.

A NOTE!!!
Before you wash this, hang it outside in the wind or brush the seams as there will be lots of little threads coming off the seams. I made the mistake of just washing mine and plugged the water pump.

Good luck with your blog and your wonderful crafts.
